About Prestige Entertainment Ottawa

Mike Chene - Owner

Mike took to DJing at just 8 years old, recording countless tapes in his bedroom and making mock radio shows. In 1991 Mike went from his bedroom to his first audience at his own junior high dance at Hopewell P.S. at just 14 years old.

By 15 Mike was doing regular youth dances as well as weddings, and various events. Mike had run his own business since 15 as well as working for other various companies in the area. In 2002 Mike launched Advanced Entertainment Ottawa, and in 2004 bought Performance DJ's combining them to offer more to all their clients.

After more than 18 years in the business, Mike is still DJing and is our main contact person for customer service.

 





In Memoriam
Michael Fortier (1955-2010)


We were saddened to have lost Michael Fortier, co-owner of Prestige Entertainment Ottawa, in February 2010, after losing his courageous battle with cancer.

Michael, a former DJ and previous owner of other entertainment companies in the Ottawa area, began DJing in 1997. His love for music and entertaining came from the time he spent in various bands as a drummer throughout the Ottawa area.

Michael spent 30 years working for the R.M.O.C. and City of Ottawa in a management position leading various teams and working with people building his strengths as a real people person.

It was in 1997 when Michael started Ambiance DJ, in 2005 he bought Greatest Hits DJ and carried on their great service.

To honour our great friend, we strive even harder to meet and exceed our clients’ expectations.
